Calvary Temple in Fort Wayne, Indiana celebrated the Easter season of 2000 in their new Worship Center designed and constructed by Century Builders. “Calvary Temple is a well established church with a unique need. They had adequate classroom, nursery, and office space, but lacked an auditorium large enough to accommodate the growing membership,” stated Brady Eggleston, Project Manager.
“Century designed a Worship Center that connects with the existing church facilities and meets Calvary Temple’s unique needs.”
The new Worship Center is 47,000 square feet. It includes elegant marble flooring in the foyer, corridors with coffered ceilings, and some office space. The majority of the building is dedicated to the auditorium, which seats 2,200 people. Other features include an orchestra pit, cascade seating design and an etched marble podium floor. The attractive contemporary exterior is a combination of EIFS and glass, and is highlighted by a majestic 76 ft. tall lighted tower. This beautiful facility will be the center of church worship and praise.
Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church has a long and successful history of ministry in the Heights area of Houston, Texas. Founded in November of 1925, the church continues to grow and is “alive and well” according to Pastor G. T. Curry, Sr.
In March of 2003, Century Builders completed construction of a new 12,500 sq. ft. Education Building that ties in to the present church facility. The brick and EFIS exterior was designed to blend with the traditional style of original structure. “Building in this historic area with the long existing city infrastructure, presented some unique challenges, stated Jeff Balette, Project Manager. “But it was a real pleasure to work with the great people of Mt. Pilgrim.”
Features of the new Education Building include classrooms, nursery facilities, offices and a youth assembly space. The Dedication Service will be celebrated on March 30, 2003 and Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church will continue making history.
The new Worship Center at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship is a multipurpose facility with 95,000 square feet of well-designed space. The building includes a dramatic 4,000 seat sanctuary with state of the art sound and lighting systems. A television studio, offices, classrooms, and an elegantly appointed lobby are other outstanding aspects of this impressive structure.
Though the sanctuary is large the cascade seating arrangement gives every worshipper a clear view of the stage. There is also a separate back balcony, as well as cascade balconies on either side.
Topped with a teal-colored, standing-seam roof, the new building has a stucco and brick exterior to match the existing buildings spread over a 24 acre wooded site. The north side of the New Worship Center features a 74-foot expanse of reflective glass with a structural steel cross.
